We first present the overall architecture of the system we are developing for providing context-aware services to mobile users. We then explain the mechanism of the core of the system and discuss the technical issues we face in making the system practical for real applications. We also describe our solutions to the problems. 2 System Overview Figure 1 shows the overall architecture of the system for providing context-aware services to mobile users . The system consists of one Mobile Resource Management (MRM) server and multiple local stations.
